This pattern collection was created from the opposites of constant and inconstant and includes a range of patterns and colors.

Of the colors, the top six are assigned to the word constant and the bottom ones are inconstant.

A strong difference can be seen here. The constant colors are grayed and achromatic. A difference is created here by the brightness. They form a constant gradient from light to dark and are very coherent and calm.

In contrast, the inconstant colors are very colorful and cheerful. They have several complementary contrasts and thus appear a bit more
more restless and irregular.





Part of this course was not only designing and making the patterns repeatable in Illustrator but also the implementation on machines. So I worked on a laser and a thermoforming machine, as well as with plaster to create sample plates of my ideas.
